Best Time of Your Life: Finishing Last in the Philadelphia Marathon

In this piece I run a marathon with the goal of finishing in last place. A marathon is structured to propel runners through 26.2 miles in the shortest amount of time, and my last place performance both fails to succeed and succeeds to fail. Treating the race as a malleable form, I aim to explore our relationship with winning and defeat, success and failure.
